What is A box cutter?
A box cutter also known as a utility knife is a cast metal or plastic handled cutter that contains a retractable blade.
Common variations of the blades are a solid blade and a snap-off style blade, designed to snap of as the blade becomes blunt.
Box cutters use the sliding blade for increased safety purposes. The user can simply slide the blade out, make a cut and the blade then retracts, ensuring the blade can not cut the user by mistake.
