Ensure all workers and visitors on site are site inducted with a site induction sticker. This is an easily identifiable way to see if visitors and workers on site have been inducted in the appropriate manner, and they are aware of the risks involved on this particular site. These stickers are commonly used to stick on hard hats. In this way, project mangers can see at a glance who has been inducted into site. Additionally, use of different coloured stickers can identify different sites or different levels of induction. Each sticker has room to write the date, project name and register number to correspond with a central repository of inducted staff.

Safe Work Australia recommends that where possible, a record should be kept of the names of people who have been trained, the training content, who conducted the training and the date training was provided. Also, acknowledgement of the training should be obtained from participants, for example the worker’s signature on a training register.
